The mission of the UCO Hockey program is to provide the best possible experience for our student-athletes, encouraging them to excel in the classroom and on the ice. We are committed to increasing our outreach and community partners in the Oklahoma hockey community and the greater UCO community.
UCO Hockey is responsible for raising a large portion of its annual budget. Your gifts go directly to the team to provide additional support for equipment and travel to the national tournament in St. Louis, MO. Help us reach our goal of $10,000 and check out our challenges and matches we have in store for this project.

The two-time national champion UCO Hockey team first took the ice in fall 2006. From humble beginnings, UCO Hockey has worked to establish itself among the elite in the American Collegiate Hockey Association. For the past 15 years, UCO Hockey has climbed the ranks to become a perennial national championship contender.
Under head coach Michael Rivera, the winning tradition has continued as the Bronchos have won their 4th Western Collegiate Hockey League championship this season. Through Rivera’s tenure, the Bronchos have accumulated a 49-10 record while maintaining a top 10 national ranking.
Coach Rivera is assisted by Brandon Harley and Josh Wyatt. All three coaches are UCO alums and played for Coach McAlister on national championship teams. These coaches all have full-time employment while volunteering their time to coach the Bronchos.
Hockey at UCO may be considered a club sport. However, it attracts top tier athletes from around the world, and continues to be one of the most followed sports at UCO. The Bronchos play in the Western Collegiate Hockey League of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (Division 1).
UCO has won four conference championships, three Final-Four births, played in 10 national championship tournaments, and is currently in the hunt for another national championship.
