We are the Student Transformative Learning Record (STLR), an initiative on the campus of UCO that started in 2014 to provide all our students with opportunities for self-development beyond their degree both in and out of the classroom.
For this campaign, STLR is seeking support from donors to pay students to work on transformative, out-of-class projects. We continue to offer experiences to students through class assignments, campus events, and student clubs, but the impactful, out-of-class projects require funds. Our campus has been fortunate to receive federal support for STLR over the past six years, but that funding is now ending.
This is where your impact is vital. Would you consider donating funds to STLR?
The U.S. Department of Education believes so much in what we're doing here at UCO that they are matching all donations to this endowment fund through September 30, 2020 – up to $1,000,000!! This means your gift will be DOUBLED.
Your gift will give the opportunity for students to work on independent projects:
Funds raised through the Student Transformative Learning Endowment will pay students for their time working on STLR projects. Over the past six years, projects have included scientific research, events to increase cultural awareness, provided services to the homeless in the OKC metropolitan community, and so much more. This funding has – and will – allow students to focus on their education by being paid to help their community grow as a citizen while progressing in their degree-completion goals.

Please help UCO to continue to stand out as an institution that cares about the whole student, that contributes to our metropolitan community, and that provides a quality education both in and out of the classroom.
