The Finney Scholarship Fund, which honors the College of Liberal Arts' founding dean Dr. Frank Finney, Jr., provides Liberal Arts majors with essential scholarship dollars. Students from every department benefit from this scholarship each year - and the need is even greater this year.
At $223 per credit hour, an hour makes a difference in the lives, opportunity, and experiences of students in the College of Liberal Arts.
We enthusiastically invite you to discover more about the Finney Scholarship Fund and learn about new initiatives by attending our annual Hour for an Hour event. Spend an hour with us and give the gift of an hour's worth of tuition toward the Finney Fund! We will be gathering virtually at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10 to meet some of our current Finney Scholars and hear the impact this scholarship has had on their college experience. Please consider a gift so we can help more students - no amount is too small or too large. Our ask is especially important this year as many Liberal Arts students are at a critical juncture in their lives.
Want to create an even bigger impact?
The College of Liberal Arts has been challenged to find 50 new gifts of $1,000 from new or current donors (for current contributors, this gift would be in addition to existing giving levels). If we are successful in meeting this task by the end of February, the UCO Foundation will make a special contribution to the College of Liberal Arts Annual Fund.
